Creamy Pininyahang Manok sa Gata Recipe
Ingredients
- 650 grams Chicken Leg
- 375 grams Chicken Thigh cut into serving portions
- 2 pouches 115 grams each Pineapple Tidbits drained then reserve syrup
- 2 tablespoon Ginger cut into strips
- 6 cloves Garlic crushed
- 1 large Red Onion sliced
- 1 to 2 tablespoon Patis fish sauce
- ½ teaspoon Peppercorn
- 1 pc Red Bell Peppermedium sized cut into cubes
- 1 can 400ml coconut milk
- 1 tablespoon Canola oil
Instructions
- In a Fry Pan, add cooking oil
- Sauté garlic
- Sauté onion until transparent
- Fry chicken until light brown
- Add reserved Pineapple juice.
- Cover and let it simmer for about 15 minutes.
- Add 1 tablespoon of Patis
- When it boils, add Coconut Milk
- and simmer for another 15 minutes.
- Stir to mix coconut milk
- Cover and simmer for another 15 minutes
- Add Carrots simmer for 5 minutes
- Add Pineapple Chunks and continue to cook 5 minutes
- Add bell pepper and remaining Patis
- Add black pepper, stir and cook for 2 minutes.
- Our Pininyahang Manok is now ready to serve!
- Transfer in a bowl and serve with steamed rice and enjoy 🙂
