Try this easy to cook Chili Cheese Hotdog Lumpia
One of the most popular Filipino snacks of all time is lumpia, or spring roll. Whether you’re serving it as your main dish or just an appetizer, this is a must-have in any Pinoy celebration. If you haven’t tried other ingredients aside from ground pork, you can try this Chili Cheese Hotdog Lumpia for a new flavor.
Lumpia is made with a thin wrapper and is usually filled with vegetables, seafood, or meat. For this recipe with a twist, we will be making this classic snack into children’s favorite snack. We will be using hotdog and cheese for this recipe, a simplified version of the traditional lumpia recipe, and reduce preparation time.
To prepare this delicacy, the few ingredients you need are steamed, fried, or boiled hotdog, cheese sticks, lumpia wrapper, and cooking oil. You can use cornstarch and water mixture to seal your Chili Cheese Hotdog Lumpia.
Prep time only takes approximately 5 minutes, while cooking time may take up to 15 minutes. So in just 20 minutes, you can enjoy your Lumpia with a twist using this recipe.

Chili Cheese Hotdog Lumpia Ingredients and Procedure:
You can use any brand that you’d like for the hotdog, same with your cheese. To ensure the hotdog is well-cooked, make sure to cook them before you roll them in the wrapper. Steaming, frying, and boiling are several ways to cook your hotdog. Then, you can add some chili to spice up your Lumpia with a twist and enjoy the snack with your family.
Chili Cheese Hotdog Lumpia Recipe
- 7 pcs. Tender Juicy Hotdog sliced
- 165 g Cheese Sliced
- 25 pcs Green Chillies sliced
- 30 pcs Large Lumpia Wrapper halves
- ¼ cup Water for sealing
- 1 cup Oil for frying
- 4 tbsp Sweet Chilli Sauce
- Cut lumpia wrapper in half
- Slice cheese into sticks
- Cut hotdog in half then slice in quarter lengthwise
- Trim chilies and remove seeds then slice it
Time to Wrap it:
- Place slice hotdog, cheese & green chilli
- Seal with water
- Repeat the process with the remaining ingredients
- heat oil in a pan and fry Lumpia in small batches
- Fry until golden brown, drain in paper towel
- Serve and Enjoy with Sweet Chili Sauce!
Tip: store Lumpia in a plastic container & freeze. This will last for a month. Thaw before frying.
