Milo Popsicle: A Chocolatey-Licious, Nutritious, and Refreshing Summer Treat

Do you remember those classic Milo chocolate drinks you took to school or for an after-school snack?

How about those small green packets that you used to collect because each one featured a different Filipino sports champion like Japoy Lizardo?

Milo has been around for a long time serving as a chocolate powder drinks for kids. You can drink it hot or cold, but these days, you are free to get creative on how to enjoy it.

Milo Ice Popsicle, anyone?

Rather than drinking it from your old mug with a teaspoon sticking out, you can create these special frozen desserts that are super easy to make at home.  Probably the cheapest form of having a popsicle on a stick, Milo popsicles serve as a kid's favorite treat to beat the summer or those hot and humid days.

The ingredients are simple and all available in your local supermarkets. You only need at least two packets of Milo powder, hot water, a cup of fresh milk, or five tablespoons of condensed milk.

To control the Milo ice pop's sweetness, add ½ teaspoon of coffee powder. Another optional ingredient is a pack of Milo nuggets as an add-on.

Finally, you would need ice pop molds and popsicle sticks. Again, get creative with the type of sticks you would use.

So how do you make these delicious Milo popsicles?

First, empty the contents of the Milo packets in hot water. Add coffee powder. Then, pour in fresh or condensed milk.

Let it stir and cool for a while. Then, pour the mixture into your special molds. Add crushed nuggets to the milo popsicles for that extra special treat. Insert popsicle sticks in the center.

Freeze them for at least 5 hours, overnight or until the popsicles are frozen.

And there you have it!

Aside from chewing on those crushed nuggets, one of the best things you enjoy when eating this frozen dessert is finally getting at the tip of the mold, where some of the Milo "sediments" have settled because it is where the taste is most intense and flavorful.

One of the great things about our Milo Popsicle Recipe is that it's made with all-natural ingredients. It contains fresh milk, giving it a smooth and creamy texture, and is sweetened with Milo Nuggets. This means that not only is it delicious, but it's also healthier than many other frozen treats on the market.
