Shrimp Dampa Recipe

Shrimp Dampa Recipe -  Shrimp Sautéed in butter with a lot of garlic is basically what this dish is all about. Another tasty Filipino recipe, this dish is loved and enjoyed by several and is often the main meal when dining out in the night markets called “Dampa”

Shrimp Dampa Ingredients:

  • shrimp-dampa 1 kg medium-sized shrimps
  • 2 tbsp calamansi juice
  • 4 tbsp garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup MAGGI Chili Sauce
  • 5 tbsp MAGGI Oyster Sauce
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 1/2 cup sliced leeks

Tinolang Tahong Recipe (Mussels Soup)

Tinolang Tahong (Mussels Soup) is a soup made with plump mussels steamed in ginger root, spinach  and a bit of Onion.   This is a simple Filipino way of cooking tahong or mussels.

Tinolang Tahong Ingredients:

  • SONY DSC 1 kilo tahong, mussel
  • 1 thumb size ginger, sliced into strips
  • 1/2 head garlic, crushed
  • 1 medium size onion, sliced
  • 1 bundle kangkong tops, trimmed
  • 2-3 pieces green sili
  • cooking oil

Crab Sinigang Ingredients:

  • crab-sinigang 400 g crab or alimasag cut into halves
  • 4 cups water
  • 1 tbsp sliced onions
  • 1/4 cup sliced tomatoes
  • 1/4 cup minced spring onions
  • 1/4 cup chopped kinchay
  • 1 pack 20g MAGGI Sinigang sa Sampalok Mix
  • salt to taste

Japanese Takoyaki Recipe (Japanese Octopus Dumpling Balls)

Japanese Takoyaki Recipe (Japanese Octopus Dumpling Balls), Tako means octopus in Japanese, and takoyaki are known as octopus balls. Takoyaki venders are very popular in Japan.  To make takoyaki, a grill pan for takoyaki is used.  The pan has many small cups to pour the batter.

Preparation Time: 25 minutes
Cooking Time: 30 minutes
Servings: 4

Takoyaki Ingredients:

  • takoyaki 1 2/3 cup flour
  • 2 1/2 cup dashi soup
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/2 lb. boiled octopus, cut into bite-size pieces
  • 1/4 cup chopped green onion
  • 1/4 cup dried sakura ebi (red shrimp)
  • 1/4 cup chopped pickled red gingerFor toppings:
  • katsuobushi (dried bonito flakes)
  • aonori (green seaweed powder)
  • Worcestershire sauce or takoyaki sauce
  • Mayonnaise
