Top Five picks at Alaska Crema’s Merry Crema Food Bazaar

Last December 15, 2013 Filipino Recipes Portal was invited to be one of the Foodie judges at the Merry Cremas Food Bazaar sponsored by Alaska Crema at the Eastwood Mall Activity Area

The event was participated by 24 merchants that showcased their signature products made with Alaska Crema All-Purpose Cream.

Visitors at the Merry Cremas Food Bazaar were able to taste free samples from the food merchants.

As one of the judges we were tasked to pick our Top Five favorites from the 24 food merchants, here are Top Five;

1] Malasian Bicolano Laksa from Cooking Ina’s Kitchen.

Note: This dish has a very interesting fusion, It taste like bicol express but not that fiery hot, you can also the taste of Alaska crema in the aftertaste, its sweetness  compliments the saltiness of other ingredients.


2] Truffles from Red Velvet

Note:  If you tasted red ribbon cakes – it taste like it


3] Choco Mousse Meringue from Cakes and Bakes

Note: Its difference with regular cakes is its moistness – e.g.  it melts in your mouth and not with your hands.

4] Toblerone Bread Pudding from The Serving Spoon Manila

Note: This taste like cocoa Yema, with a burnt taste, that’s made it more exciting.


5] Dulce de Leche Pecan Cheesecake cups from Baked Bites

Note:  This cheesecake is surely a hit in any occasions, taste really great truly an excellent dessert, one bite and you will be hooked.


Congratulations to the Merry Cremas merchants, Joanie’s Cupcake, Malagos Dark Chocolate and Hey Gourmet! for winning in the Merry Cremas Food Bazaar.


The event was a great experience for all visitors,  Merry Cremas Food Bazaar was a day full of great food  and fun, we were able to taste all the delicious Alaska Crema-made  viands and delectable desserts.

    Wow, these make me drool and crave for sweets. I have seen the Lechon Cake in TV. Looks yummy but a little weird because it is lechon and a cake too. Hehe

    Interesting picks! The lechon cake is an eye catcher! I would love to give that to my niece who loves lechon so much! x
